When Jason Celaya designed the first Welcome boards in 2009, it was clear that his company would follow a completely new direction. Instead of classic popsicle boards and team graphics, individual shapes met ingenious artwork that defines Welcome's unique character. The graphics, as well as the Welcome logo, are heavily influenced by occult and magical elements, but with a humorous and colorful twist.
So Welcome Skateboards strikes a completely new path in terms of board shapes and designs. The individual shapes are not only suitable as cruiser boards. Depending on personal preference, there are shapes with a kinda regular nose or tail that work just as well for tricks as traditional popsicle shapes. Welcome Skateboard Decks are definitely an eye-catcher at every session. If you're not completely hooked yet, check out the Welcome videos "Fetish" or "Seance" and see for yourself just how street-ready the decks really are. Pros like Ryan Lay, Nora Vasconcellos, Ryan Townley or Daniel Vargas each have their own Pro Shape. For those who prefer a more classic popsicle shape but still don't want to miss the special Welcome style, Evan Mock's shape offers a good option.
