Independent Trucks recently announced the return of the Indy Stage IV truck. An exact release date has not yet been announced, we expect the release in the summer of this year.

Since the birth of the Independent truck in 1978 (Stage I), all innovations on the truck have been given a number. The Stage IV was launched in 1984. Between each number there were always adjustments and improvements that brought us to the current Stage XI.

Nevertheless, there are still skaters who prefer older independent stages. Geoff Rowley, for example, has always skated Indy Stage VII, Gilbert Crockett prefers Stage VIII. 80's vert legend Salba still rides Stage IV.

The truck geometry and the turning behavior of Independent trucks are so legendary that countless companies have tried to copy them.

The turning bevaviour of the earlier Indy Stages was faster and more direct, something that some had missed with the newer versions. Independent is now closing this gap with the re-release of Stage IV. We can't wait to test the trucks for you and will keep you posted.
